With the IBI Corporate Finance Premier League trophy having returned to Sydney Parade for another year after a pulsating finale on Monday last, it will be no surprise that the top batter and top bowler for 2025 are players from Pembroke CC.
Andrew Balbirnie enjoyed a brilliant return to regular club cricket in 2025 and thoroughly cashed in with his bat amassing 617 runs at an incredible 88.14 runs per innings including a highest score of 174 against Phoenix back in August.

The O’Grady Cup for the top bowler in the top Division has been won by Gavin Hoey who accumulated 37 wickets for Pembroke at just 15.30 apiece. In fact, there are three spin-bowlers in the top 5 of the Premier League underpinning the value of quality slow bowling at the highest level of club cricket.

Having made the move across the Liffey in the off-season, Seamus Lynch will be pleased to have secured the Hopkins Cup at his first attempt for Clontarf CC – his 17 catches just shading the trophy from Nic Pretorius at Phoenix.

There were two players hunting down the Solomons Cup for catches in the field and in the end, Swapnil Modgill of Merrion will take home the trophy with 13 catches, just one ahead of a valiant effort from Tim Tector at Pembroke (who won this award last year).

And finally congratulations to the Clontarf Captain (David Delany) who has won the Samuels Cup for the top all-rounder in the Premier League for 2025. He led his team with great character and some brilliant individual performances, none more so than his blistering 7/19 against Railway Union back in late July at Park Avenue. He last won this trophy for his performances in the 2023 season!

David Delany is the top all-rounder in Leinster (again!)
