Insurance & Risk Management Workshop for Clubs
Insurance/Risk Workshop
In line with our ongoing series of information seminars for clubs, it is planned to hold an Insurance/Risk Management Workshop on Tuesday 4th February (7.30pm - 9.00pm, Talbot Hotel, Stillorgan, off N11).
The Workshop will be facilitated by Graham Hohn and Keith Young of LHK Insurance, who also sponsor of the Alan Murray T/20 Cup Competition.
Graham and Keith are insurance experts having spent their careers in the insurance industry and provide broking services to many of our member club and Cricket Leinster.
Amongst other topics, the workshop will address:
- What your club Insurance Programme should cover
- Insuring volunteers and garda vetting
- Risk Management issues including safety statements and security of machinery
- Directors & Officers including Employment Practices Liability
- Cyber Insurance including implications from GDPR
- Third Parties using club premise - insurance implications (which ties into Risk Management)
This workshop will be very beneficial for all clubs as part of their risk management process.

Social/Taverner’s Focus Group
Social/Taverner’s Cricket Focus Group
Social Cricket Focus Group
Cricket Leinster would like to establish a Focus Group to explore how best we can further support the growth and development of Taverner's & Social Cricket in 2020 and beyond.
There are already many well-established Taverner's teams and we are keen to see how we can build on this as an increasingly popular form of the game.
In 2019, we established a successful process for social cricketers to register with Cricket Leinster and thereby access our Personal Accident Insurance Programme.
Amongst other things, this new Focus Group will address:
- How we can further support existing Taverner's/Social Cricket
- How we can promote the game to a wider audience
- How we can attract new teams/clubs to participate in the game
- How we can work with/support Lord’s Taverners Ireland in their charitable works
Our plan is that this Group will meet a couple of times aimed at developing a plan for 2020 as soon as possible including some dedicated support from Cricket Leinster.
Our first such meeting will take place on Thursday 13th February 2020 at 7.30pm(Talbot Hotel, Stillorgan).
