IBI CORPORATE FINANCE FIRST TEAM LEAGUE – INDIVIDUAL AWARDS CONFIRMED (SEPT 8TH)

After The Hills secured their direct passage back into the IBI Corporate Finance Premier League for the 2027 season, in a league campaign featuring 13 wins from their 14 completed games, we can now also confirm the individual award winners for the 2026 IBI Corporate Finance First Team League.

It’s no surprise to see the league champions featuring heavily in both the winners and leaderboards across the categories, with two of the five trophies heading back to The Vineyard for the 2026 season.

Each of these awards will be presented at the CL Awards Night and Gala Dinner in the Round Room at the Mansion House with tickets available to purchase here;

BATTING CUP

The trophy for the leading batter in the league has been retained, as a superb year for Yash Kalasannavar sees him remain the only name on this award in it’s short existence. He had the highest average of those to clear the 500 run threshold, managing a fine haul of 562 at an average of 42.23.

Kalasannavar finishes clear of team-mate Moize Haider, who was his closest challenger, whilst Nathan Rooney finishes in third having made a crucial impact for The Hills having returned from injury at the back end of May. Dinesh Antony Kidagan David once again features in the top five this season, with that leaderboard rounded out by Yaseen Sherzad who was another key man for the champions.

BOWLING CUP

As with last season, the winner of the bowling cup does so with an excellent haul of 32 wickets, and it should be no surprise to see the two leaders in this category coming from the league winners. Tomas Rooney Murphy is clear at the top as the only bowler in the league to break the 30 wicket barrier, doing so at a fine average of 16.09.

He finishes clear of Yaseen Sherzad, who underpinned a fine season with his 29 wickets coming at an average of just a squeak above 18, whilst Adamstown teenager Aryan Adelkar was the other bowler to cross the 25 wicket threshold, at an average of 24.52.

WICKET KEEPING CUP

The wicket-keeping cup is the second trophy which is headed to The Maws this season in possession of their star man Kalasannavar, this time he finishes 4 dismissals clear of Knockharley’s Sayed Zubair, who had a fine debut season, whilst back in third was another youngster from Adamstown, in the shape of Niranjan Muthu, who took over the gloves midway through the season from overseas player Prashanth Damadoran.

FIELDING CUP

The leading fielder in this division was a very competitive affair, with four players managing double figures in the catching stakes. The Hills skipper Matthew Weldon claimed 10 in spite of missing a chunk of the season in July, whilst both Adamstown and Knockharley have two men who feature in the list.

It’s the latter from who the winner hails, as their skipper Mubeen Ali leads the way in the league with 11 catches, seeing him the first Knockharley player to take home an individual award in Senior Cricket.

ALL-ROUNDER CUP

Finally we have the award for the leading all-rounder, and having been a shade unlucky to be pipped at the post for both the batting and bowling awards, it should come as no surprise that Yaseen Sherzad claims this gong for The Hills. As has been noted above, he managed 512 runs and 29 wickets in an excellent season, seeing him amass an excellent total of 1092 points.

That figure puts him 30 points clear of Kalasannavar, with a gap of over 160 points back to third place, as each of the top four sides in the final standings feature in the top five in this category to round out the season.

Congratulations to each of the winners on claiming each of these awards at the end of an excellent season of cricket.
