Winter Coaching Programme 2025/6:

Coach Kid's 5-11 years Course

• Sunday 28th September 9am - 4pm (click here)
• Sunday 12th October 9am-4pm (click here)
• Sunday January 11th 9am - 4pm (registration open in December)

Coach Cricket Course

• Saturday 4th October 9.30am - 5pm & Sunday 5th October 9.30am - 2pm (click here)
• Saturday February 28th 9.30am - 5pm & Sunday March 1st 9.30am - 2pm (registration open in January)

Update on Core Coach (Level 2) & 3 Courses

Cricket Ireland is going through a transition period from running the ECB Core Coach and the ECB Level 3 to running the ICC Level 2 and 3. As soon as we hear any further details about the new course being run we can update you directly if you want to click here to register interest. Or you can contact Stephen Maxwell (stephen.maxwell@cricketireland.ie) in Cricket Ireland with any queries as they run these courses. The ICC Level 3 register of interest has been circulated previously for 2025/6 and is now closed.

Course Descriptions

Coaching Kid’s 5-11 Years

The Coaching Kids 5-11 years course is aimed at parents, teachers, and young adults supporting cricketers aged 5-11 years. The course is designed to provide new and emerging coaches with the knowledge and skills to deliver child-centred, safe, fun, and age-appropriate coaching sessions.

This course is usually the first step on the coaching ladder.

Please note, there are 3 online modules to be completed before the course day which take approximately 60 minutes.

Coaching Cricket

The Coaching Cricket course is aimed at anyone who wants to coach club or school players aged over 11 years. The course is designed to provide new and emerging coaches with the knowledge and skills to deliver player centred, enjoyable, and safe coaching support with an appropriate focus on cricket skills and long-term player development.

This course is usually the second step on the coaching ladder. However, some coaches will choose to do this as their first course with us. However, please be aware that this course does include an assessment at the end of it where you will prepare a session plan, coach part of it to the other participants and get feedback from an assessor.
