With 1,000 players having registered during the month of February, there are now more than 3,250 players signed up for the 2026 season.
Within these numbers, there are now 10 clubs with over 100 registered players with Adamstown continuing to lead the way (already over 200).

As before, a number of the more recently established clubs continue to feature strongly in the top 20 including Tyrrelstown (119), Swords (100), Castleknock (95) and Finglas (64).
It is also very encouraging to see that over 1,000 youth players are already signed up at this early stage and from a broad spectrum of clubs.
2026 is likely to see material growth in female participation such that the Women’s Committee has already added a fifth Women’s Division. This new league will feature Laois alongside new entries from each of Finglas, Tyrrelstown, Kilkenny and Carlow alongside Phoenix who have entered a 3rd XI for this season.
This Division will focus primarily on participation and player development with teams set to face each other on a home and away basis.
We have also been notified that Athlone will be fielding a Women’s team for the first time - another positive development which aligns with our broader strategy for cricket development in Leinster.
In this context, all clubs are reminded that our primary growth focus is around youth & women’s cricket.

All players are also reminded that your annual registration includes full personal accident insurance cover which is organised via LHK Insurance Group for Cricket Leinster. It is the most comprehensive cover available in the market.
