Some of the player movement reflects developments during the off-season with Tullamore (previously Slieve Bloom) undoubtedly benefiting from securing a permanent home base on the grounds of Tullamore RFC. In addition, with the first team at Knockharley now competing at First Team League level for the first time in 2026, the club is most likely benefiting from the arrival of players looking to play at the higher level.

One of the most popular players on the club circuit is the ever-green Ehtesham Ahmed (Shami) who has registered for Knockharley for the 2026 season. His move to the Kentstown club will be his seventh CL club over a long and distinguished club cricket career.
