Fantasy league into the home stretch

It is a short article this week. With the end of the season hurtling towards us and the finalising of all matters cricket the column is kept to a brief overview this week. If you want to see your figures, please contact me.

We are all into the home stretch and R Smith [Merrion] retains his lead, although it is now down to just 13 points. Some teams are now wrapped up for 2015 and some have games and re-fixes galore. It is all to play for. The top 60 point scorers are listed below and come from 22 different clubs. The leading player from each club is shown in bold. Clontarf and Merrion hold the top 5 places as befitting the Division 1 league table.

In runs scored R Smith is edged, just out of top spot by Clontarf’s R Tariq. Will anyone breach the 1,000 season runs?

On the other hand, surely a couple of bowlers will manage to pass 50 wickets for the season.  Two players only require 2 more wickets and seem well clear of the chasing pack.
