With just five rounds of fixtures to be played in the 2025 season, it is timely to review current status on each of the top level individual trophies.
As it stands, George Dockrell (Phoenix) is in pole position to pick up the prestigious Marchant Cup for batting with an aggregate 458 runs to-date at an incredible average of 114.5 per innings.
Last year’s winner (David Delany, Clontarf) is in 4th place having played all fixtures to-date.

The O’Grady Cup is the equivalent award for the top bowler in the Premier League and as it stands, Amish Sidhu is well placed to bring this trophy back to The Park as well with his Phoenix team-mate (Ben White) hot on his heels – Sidhu has accumulated 28 wickets at 12.21 apiece having played almost all games whilst White’s average just 0.64 adverse to Sidhu but based on a lower level of participation to-date. Last year’s winner was Byron McDonough of Pembroke who is currently in 5th spot.

On the wicket-keeping front, Connor Fletcher (Balbriggan) is currently in top-spot with 18 dismissals with 4 others then bunched on 12/13 so all to play for in pursuit of the Hopkins Cup as we approach the business end of the season:

The Samuels Cup is awarded annually to the top all-rounder at Premier League level and is determined via a point system which recognises individual contributions across the season. Given the strength of his contributions to Clontarf’s success so far this season, it will be no surprise to see David Delany in a strong position to win the all-rounder cup for a third time in just 4 years (he previously won this trophy in 2022 and 2023).
