  3. Final OCC league structure for 2013 announced
18th January 2013 by Cricket Leinster

Final OCC league structure for 2013 announced

For the last week, fixture makers up and down the province have been beavering away on spreadsheets, making the 2013 fixtures. To some therefore, the good news may already have filtered out, but the funal draft of the league structures has given a reprieve to some clubs who thought they had been relegated at the end of the 2012 season.

The sad demise of the Old Belvedere adult teams, along with Wicklow County's decision to drop a team has led to some changes being needed. Those changes are details in full below. In summary, Clontarf 2, Clontarf 3, Leinster 3, Railway Union 3, Leinster 4, Wexford Wanderers 1, Knockharley 2, Civil Service 2, Greystones Cricket 2, Swords 2, Lucan 1 and Civil Service 4 have all been moved up a division compared to the provisional sturcture announced before Christmas.

In addition to this, Laois CC have entered a 4th team, which will play in Division 13. It means that there will be two extra clubs competing in the 2013 league (Lucan, Slieve Bloom and Longford, with Old Belvedere withdrawing) and three extra teams, compared to 2012.
