Leinster v North Kildare
LCC won the toss and elected to bat, getting off to a quick start with some good running between the wickets. It was the seventh over when North Kildare claimed their first wicket with Pia Diepman departing for 19. Anna and Una put on another 63 runs before Lucy Small got the next breakthrough with the score at 108/2 from 15. LCC continued to lose a few wickets in quick succession, finishing on 134/6.
After the first wicket fell Leinster looked on top thanks to some sharp run outs, with two a piece for Sophie MacMahon and Anna Kerrison. An all round impressive fielding display towards the end left NK on 74/9 - LCC winning by 60 runs.
Merrion v Malahide
Malahide 80 all out, Tess Maritz batted well got 17. Rachel Delaney and Hannah dbw both took 3 wickets each but more importantly 14 year old Mya Naughton took her first senior wickets taking 2-3! Merrion chased in 9 overs 2 down with Leah Paul finishing on 25*, Lara Maritz picking up 2-18.
