Tucker for Tector one change in Lightning IP50 squad

The Leinster Lightning selectors have the pleasure in announcing the following squads for the two upcoming Hanley Energy Inter-Provincial games against the Northern Knights.

50-Over in Waringstown Cricket Club on Sunday the 9th August:

John Mooney (Capt - Balbriggan); John Anderson (Vice-Capt - Merrion); Eoghan Delany (Clontarf); Dom Joyce (Merrion); Tyrone Kane (Merrion); Fintan McAllister (Malahide); Kevin O’Brien (Railway Union); Andrew Poynter (Clontarf);  Eddie Richardson (North County); Simi Singh (YMCA);  Max Sorensen (The Hills); Lorcan Tucker (Pembroke).

There is only one change from the squad which defeated the same opposition last Sunday by 158 runs, with Lorcan Tucker replacing Jack Tector who has prior commitments with Glamorgan next week. That victory ensured that a win this weekend will see the Lightning secure that the 50-over title.

The action starts in Waringstown at 10:45am on Sunday and admission is free.

3-Day Championship Match in Stormont from Monday 10th to Wednesday 12th August:

John Mooney (Capt - Balbriggan); John Anderson (Vice-Capt - Merrion); Yaqoob Ali (YMCA); Eoghan Delany (Clontarf); Tyrone Kane (Merrion); Fintan McAllister (Malahide); Kevin O’Brien (Railway Union); Andrew Poynter (Clontarf);  Eddie Richardson (North County); Simi Singh (YMCA);  Max Sorensen (The Hills); Lorcan Tucker (Pembroke).

Dom Joyce is unavailable due to work commitments for this, our second 3-day game of the season, and is replaced in the squad by YMCA’s Yaqoob Ali.

The Lightning are looking for build on the solid start we made to the Championship this year, drawing our first game with the Warriors in Clontarf back in May. Play starts at 11am each day and is scheduled to continue till 6:30pm, with no admission charge.
