The Leinster Lightning selectors have the pleasure in announcing the following squad for the Hanley Energy Inter-Provincial Championship game against the Northern Knights at Stormont from the 17th to the 19th May 2016.
John Anderson (Capt); Dom Joyce & Tyrone Kane (both Merrion); Peter Chase (Malahide); Andrew Poynter (Clontarf); Eddie Richardson (North County); Simmi Singh, Sean Terry & Yaqoob Ali (both YMCA); Lorcan Tucker (Trinity/Pembroke); George Dockrell (Trinity/Leinster); Joe Carroll (Leinster).
The Lightning squad for this match reflects a number of changes. Lorcan Tucker comes back into the side having completed his exams meaning that Jamie Grassi, who debuted in Clontarf last week, misses out.
Max Sorensen is still struggling with illness and we wish him a speedy recovery. Tyrone Kane has been recalled having also completed his exams.
Lastly there is a first call-up for YMCA’s latest recruit, Sean Terry, whose multi-day cricket experience should prove a real asset.
Having drawn last week’s game against the same opposition, The Lightning start this match knowing a much improved performance is required in order to get the better of Eugene Moleon’s side.
The first ball will be bowled in Stormont at 11am on Tuesday the 17th of May and admission is free all three days.
