  3. Tables update + key matches this weekend 11-16
4th September 2015 by Eddie Lewis

Tables update + key matches this weekend 11-16

D11:     YMCA V take the league title with Castleknock II promoted. Merrion VI lost a mid-week fixture by one wicket agasint Civil Service III and [unofficially] are relegated. One of Rush IIIs and Civil Service for the second spot.

Sat       Two matches scheduled – a win for Rush against Pembroke III should keep them up.

D12:     All sorted at the top with Adamstown III winners and The Hills IV runners up. Still matches to play at the bottom so nothing decided. Halverstown are struggling and will need a run o fwins to overtake 6th placed Malahide V. Leinster VI are also struggling and are 10 percentage points from safety with three matches [two of their own and one by Malahide still to be palyed.

Sat;      Halverstown need ot beat North County to get a late run going.

D13      Tight at the top between Dundrum III and Phoenix V. laois III are in third place and Swords II have fallen back and are now effectively out of contention. Dundrum have three games to play so their fate is in their own hands. Pembroke confirmed demoted but railway [with matches in hand] are propping up the table.

Sat:      Phoenix [v Railway at home] and Dundrum [v laois III away] both in action. Neither can afford to slip up but the greater pressure on Phoenix. A Laois win against Dundrum would open up both the title and promotion race.

D14:     Leinster VII and Bagenalstown II clear at the top and are racing certs for the top two spots. Sandyford relegated to be followed most probably [despite win last Saturday] by Mullingar III

Weekend:         All eight teams in action. If Leinster win and Bagenalstown lose it is all settled. If both win, depending on the points, it could go through to the next weekend.

D15:     Civil Service IV confirmed promoted and [unofficially] have title following win agasint Merrion VIII last weekend. Merrion’s loss mean that they have only a mathematical chance of survival.  Rush IV in the other danger spot – but have matches in hand.

Sun:     Nothing much will be decided this weekend as neither Rush and Clontarf are  in action.

D16      Carlow victory celebrations still on hold. One more win from their remaining two games will secure the title but other permutations are possible involving bonus points and N Kildare [2nd] not maximising theirs. At this point they are so far ahead it is difficult to see them being denied now.  The real battle may well be between Ashbourne and N Kildare IV for the second spot.

Weekend        Neither Ashbourne or N Kildare in action over weekend.
