  3. Sheridan & Dockrell in for Warriors match
19th June 2017 by Leinster Lightning

Sheridan & Dockrell in for Warriors match

The Lightning selectors have gone for a largely unchanged squad from that which drew our debut first-class match back in early June, the only two changes being forced by injury.

Kevin O’Brien and Tyrone Kane have not been passed fit, having battled injury the past few weeks. George Dockrell returns following his recent exams and there’s a Championship debut for North County’s young fast bowler Andrew Sheridan.

We go into this match against the North-West Warriors in Oakhill on the back of a busy but successful June to date, having played four matches already this month, winning both T-20’s comfortably following a rained-off 50-over clash with the Knights the day before that drawn 3-day match.

The squad for the Hanley Energy Championship Inter-Provincial match from 20th to 22nd June is as follows:

John Anderson (c)                               (Merrion)

Andrew Balbirnie                                (Pembroke)

Peter Chase                                             (Malahide)

Gareth Delany                                       (Leinster)

George Dockrell                                   (Dublin University / Leinster)

Ed Joyce                                                     (Merrion)

Max Neville                                             (Merrion)

Eddie Richardson                                 (North County)

Andrew Sheridan                                (North County)

Simi Singh                                                 (YMCA)

Jack Tector                                               (YMCA)

Lorcan Tucker (w/k)                           (Pembroke)

Play starts in Oakhill each day at 11am and entry is free.
