Following the appointment of Ted Williamson last week the Leinster Lightning selectors have met and are delighted to announce the following squad of players who will form a pre-season winter training squad.
Ben Ackland (Merrion); Yaqoob Ali (YMCA); John Anderson (Merrion); Bilal Azhar (Leinster); Kenny Carroll (Railway Union); Bill Coghlan (Clontarf); Eoghan Delaney (Clontarf); Dom Joyce (Merrion); Tyrone Kane (Merrion); Fintan McAllister (Malahide); Barry McCarthy (Pembroke); Cormac McLoughlin (The Hills); David Murphy (Pembroke); Andrew Poynter (Clontarf); Eddie Richardson (North County); Simi Singh (YMCA); Fiachra Tucker (Pembroke); Lorcan Tucker (Pembroke); Albert van der Merwe (YMCA).
These players will train together throughout the coming months before the announcement of the 2015 squad which will attempt to go one better than 2013 and 2014 by winning all three of the Inter-Provincial titles.
Joe Carroll (Leinster); Pat Collins (Railway Union); Bobby Gamble (YMCA) have been excluded from the squad for logistical reasons and the Lightning players that are included in the Irish World cup squad will join the above selected players on their return from the World Cup.
