  3. League Tables : OC D1/ D2
10th May 2014 by Gerry Byrne

League Tables : OC D1/ D2

With a wet weekend in prospect perhaps all we can do is reflect on the first 'Senior' league tables of the season. With no matches for OC D1/D2 this weekend Merrion are in the very unusual positin of being top of both leagues - where they will stay for at least another seven days.

Leinster2-11 412
Cork County1  1  8
Rush2-2  77
Dublin University1-1  66

All above results are provisional until official scorecards received.

Because there are 9 teams in Division 2, and one team does not play every week in round 1, matches played will be unequal until the end of first round of matches. Dublin University play only 1 round of matches and these are for double points. Cork County and Trinity have one match to be re fixed.

Great efforts are made to ensure that the full list of fixtures are completed. last year there were no 'No Result' matches. This year unfortunately we already have one where after two attempts it was still not possible to complete the Cork County v Leinster match in D2. The Regulations provide that in such cases each team gets 8 points.
