Cricket Leinster’s Club rankings are back!

Cricket Leinster's Club rankings are back for another season, just in time for one of the most eagerly anticipated weekend of the year - the first round of the Bob Kerr Irish Senior Cup.

Last weekend's league program across the island has acted as an appetiser, and there have already been a few movers. It is still neck and neck between the two big boys, Waringstown and Clontarf, with Merrion staying in third place despite an opening day loss to Clontarf. YMCA's loss to North County sees them slip to 5th, behind the NCU's Instonians.

Similarly, North County have jumped up to 8th, and the expense of Civil Service North. The free spending CIYMS had a shock opening day defeat to Derriaghy, and they drop to 13th.

Other big movers in Leinster are Railway Union, who drop two to 20th, after losing to Phoenix, who go up three to 25th.

It is also Bob Kerr Irish Senior Cup and National Cup weekend, and there are some absolute crackers in prospect. Our list below ranks the ties in order of how likely there is to be an upset (with the favourites in bold). And in the Irish Senior Cup in particular, there are six ties that are too close to call.

YMCA and CSNI may be favourites on paper, but both face massively difficult trips to North Down and The Hills respectively

Home advantage could be massive on Saturday, and the five Leinster sides on the road will need to be at the top of their game. Full previews will be on the Match Centre on Saturday morning.
