Ireland win their fourth match in WC T20 Qualifier with their best performance to date. After two nail biting finishes the team and supporters [online as well as at the gorund] will be glad of a comfortable victory agasint USA. Batting first [for the fourth time] captain Porterfield got them off to a great start and went on to score a century. His efforts were assisted by a late cameo from John Mooney whop scored at a rate of two runs per ball. The final score of 216/3 was always going to be a massive ask for USA
The second innings got off to a fast start and USA were going at around 10 per over during the powerplay. However, the introduction of the spin of Dockrell and Stirling ended the charge. Between them they reeled off eight over and took five wickets. There was not much resistence after that and USA were eventually all out in the 20th Over for 141. A victory margin for Ireland of 75 runs.
