The official playing records of Leinster Women’s Cricket do not go back very far (see note below) Unlike Open Competitions, where complete records stretch back to 1919, the women’s game is only properly mapped since 2016.
With this caveat in mind, it is still worth noting the second highest individual score in a senior T20 game. In this week’s match between Rush and Merrion at Kenure, Bella Armstrong from Merrion made 146*.

In all, there have been 34 scores of 100 or more in the Women’s Premier League or Senior Cup. The top ten are set out in the table below. Perhaps not surprisingly, Gaby Lewis, who has the highest individual score, dominates the table and has scored eight centuries in all.

Whilst these records only reflect the last decade of club cricket, it is noteworthy that of the 34 centuries in senior women’s T20 cricket since 2016, all but nine have been scored since 2020. Whether this represents improvements in technique or more favourable batting conditions is unclear, but it does suggest that the balance between batting and bowling has shifted in favour of the former.

NOTE: It is hoped that work will commence over the winter to expand the official playing records for women’s club cricket using existing paper records/scorebooks. If any clubs have any old scorebooks that contain details of matches, it would be great if they could copy and email to results@cricketleinster.ie . Also if anyone has a record (not just a memory) of individual or match figures before 2016 that might be included in the main tables of individual and team performances please send on and they can be added to the records.
