Greystones lead the way in Div 4 averages

The latest Division 4 averages (excluding Saturday's Merrion 3 vs Dundrum match) are still at an early stage, although players from Greystones are moving into poll position in most categories.

Highest Batting average in Division 4 - (current qualification - 100 runs)

With the qualifcation still at 100 runs, 11 players now appear on our leaderboard. Last week's leader Niall McGovern (North County) still features strongly, with 294 runs at 147, but he hs been overtaken by Greystones' David Drane, who has scored 155 runs, including two 50s. Railway's Tim Townend scored a blistering 124 during the week, and he moves up to third place.

Lowest Bowling average in Division 4 - (Current Qualification - 7 wkts)

Two more Greystones bowlers have moved to the top, with ex Railway Union spinner Greg Lambert at number one, with eight wickets at 8.62, and Susheel Venkatramani not too far behind. Railway Union's Niall Hunt is the first non Greystones player, also with eight wickets.

Most Catches by a fielder in Division 4

Jitendra Singh (another Railway Union player) is now the leading fielder, wtih four catches in five matches. Atif Kamal of Malahide is still on three catches, ahead of a very large group who have taken two.

 

Most dismissals by a wicket keeper in Division 4

Several players now qualify for the wicketkeeping table, with yet another Greystones player, John Moffat leading the way.

Leading allrounder in Division 4- (Qualification 250 points - 1 pt for each run, 20 pts for each wkt, ctch or stmp)

An error in week 1's table attributed points to fielders taking catches. That shouldn't have been the case, and so only Niall McGovern and Neil Boyne make the cut of 250 points
