It was the second leg of a Derry Double that saw the Leinster Futures complete an unbeaten campaign this afternoon.
Having lost the toss, the side, which had already been crowned champions with a game to spare yesterday afternoon, were asked to bowl first on the same wicket which was used in that tie.

The Warriors side started better in the 50 over format than they did on Thursday afternoon, reaching 21 before their first wicket fell to a run out between Isobel Jennings and Ellie McGee, and losing only one further wicket to see the score reach 55/2 after 14 overs.
Arisha Foysal bowled the 15th over however and a sublime effort saw her claiming three wickets in that. Just 6 overs later she had completed a five-wicket haul to reduce the NWCU to 71/7, as her final figures read 5/33 from eight overs.

There was another decent stand of 49, before McGee returned to the attack for her second spell and mopped up the last three wickets in the space of just 9 balls, finishing with 3/17 for herself and rounding out an excellent personal series with ball in hand.
Leinster then had to bat for 40 minutes before the scheduled lunch break, and skipper Annabel Squires, partnered by Alice Walsh, set about making the first mini-session of batting a successful endeavour. Walsh was dominant before the break, adding a run-a-ball 24, whilst Squires was on 19 as the pair headed for the interval with the score 58/0.
The roles quickly reversed after lunch however, as Squires opened her shoulders, immediately depositing Ella Wasson into the adjacent farm for six, and quickly clearing the rope on the opposite side in the next over. Walsh too found the rope, depositing boundaries straight and wide of mid-on to take the partnership beyond 100.

With the victory line in sight, Squires once again targeted the farm, however this time landed back-to-back maximums in the stream to pass her own half-century, eventually finishing unbeaten on 60, whilst Walsh's fine innings saw her unbeaten on 40, with the ten-wicket win wrapped up inside 16 overs, ensuring a clean sweep and four from four in the tournament!
