Another action-packed day of IBI Corporate Finance Premier League cricket saw wins for Railway Union, Clontarf, Malahide, Civil Service, Leinster & Pembroke, in the featured action, in the seventh round of league fixtures of the 2026 season.
Starting off with our featured action in Sydney Parade, where the visitors Balbriggan won the toss and decided to bowl first. Pembroke were undoubtedly delighted to have first use of the wicket, as Tim Tector and JJ Garth put on 65 for the first wicket, Tector dominating making 45 of them before being bowled by Dylan Lues.

The second wicket stand also passed 50, with Macdara Cosgrave making 22 before being bowled, Kai Curran the successful bowler this time. That brought Addison Sherriff to the crease to join Garth for what proved to be the best partnership of the innings, as the pair added 86 before the opener was caught by Chris de Freitas for a well made 63.
Sherriff was eventually dismissed for 72, however not before he had added 54 with Jack Tector, who made 22, however when both were dismissed with the score on 258, the Pembroke innings stalled in the face of an excellent last 10 overs of bowling between Seb de Oliveira (4/50), Kai Curran (3/49) and Matt Hollard (2/46).

The Balbriggan chase started slowly, as Byron McDonough dismissed both de Oliveira and Prashan Naidoo cheaply, before a 35 run stand between Connor Fletcher and Chris de Freitas was ended when Mark Berry strangled Fletcher down leg for 30. When de Freitas followed in the same fashion off the bowling of Olly Riley for 44, Balbriggan were 110/4 and in need of a big partnership.
This, however never came, as Curran ploughed along in a lone hand, eventually falling for the top score of 54 with his side still 100 runs from victory. He was one of three scalps claimed by Paul Lawson, as Pembroke's off-spinner finished the pick of the bowlers, claiming 3/48 with the home side sealing an 88 run win and a seventh win on the spin in the process.

Meanwhile, in Park Avenue, the first result of the day saw Merrion bundled out for 166 by Railway Unionin spite of Stephen Doheny's 66, as the away side crumbled to the spin of Ashil Prakash, who took 7/19 in a remarkable spell of bowling. Railway made relatively light work of the chase, as a partnership of 106 between skipper Philippe le Roux and Hayden Hamilton (33) guided the side most of the way home, before Liam McCarthy blitzed an unbeaten 26 off just 12 balls to seal the deal, le Roux finishing unbeaten on 75 from just 69 deliveries in a 5 wicket win.

In The Village, it was yet another day for Jeremy Martins to shine for Malahide, as his unbeaten 56 marshalled the side to a 5-wicket victory. He was supported by 52 for Robbie Foulkes, a run-a-ball 32 for Greg Ford, and a quicker 32 from Matt Ford, as they hunted down North County's 217 with nearly 12 overs to spare. Earlier in the day, North County had been all out, in spite of 90 for Lochie Hardy, thanks to three wickets for each of James Newland and David O'Halloran, whilst Martins' 2/31 kicked off another fine all-round day for the skipper.
Civil Service secured back-to-back wins, as having batted first against Cork County they ran up 298 all out inside 46 overs, Edson Silva once again top scoring with 84, whilst opener Simranjeet Singh made 61, and a late 39 from Vijay Adhikari boosted the score. Diarmuid Carey the pick of the bowlers for the visitors, claiming 3/34. In response, the Leesiders were always behind the 8-ball thanks to three early wickets for Zaman Safi, and in spite of 30s for Zubair Khan, Nabeel Anjum and Ehsan O'Sullivan, could muster only 179 all out, as Civil Service claimed full points.
Just up the road, there was a lengthy delay in Phoenix, as an issue with wet footholes saw the game reduced to 45 overs per side. Jai Moondra wreaked early havoc for Leinster, claiming 3/4 in his opening spell, before 3/35 for Saqib Bahadur and 2/33 for Tom Johnson helped roll Phoenix over for just 155, Tyrone Kane the top scorer with 43. Johnson then made an unbeaten 82 in the chase, as Leinster made short work of the task, taking less than 25 overs to do so, as there were also 20s for Monil Patel and Younas Ahmadzai in an 8 wicket win.

Finally in Clontarf, the home side were on the receiving end of a pair of five-wicket hauls, as both Daniel Coffey and Nathan McGuire claimed half the wickets each in bowling the Bulls out for 228 in Castle Avenue. The hosts were indebted to runs for Séamus Lynch and Mitchell Thompson, making 42 and 62 respectively, as well as 32 for Fionn Hand, in getting them to a defendable score in spite of two excellent spells of bowling. In response, Jack McGee was the mainstay of the chase, making 87, however only Nasir Totakhil could provide him with any support, making 25, as three wickets for each of Reuben Wilson, Nawaz Khan and John McNally dragged 'Tarf to a 37 run victory.
