Next up we look from Division 12 through to Division 15, where we have a couple of wide-open contests, and a couple of sides who are on the brink of winning league titles with games to spare!
DIVISION 12
In Division 12, Terenure 3 lead the way with seven wins from their eleven games, with Adamstown 4 following closely on their tails with the same win tally, Terenure finish their season with three away fixtures, while Adamstown visit Wexford Wanderers on Saturday and finish with two home fixtures. Wexford Wanderers 2 sit in eighth place but have five games to go and could see themselves climb out of the bottom two. After a big win for Greystones 2 over 2nd place Adamstown 4 they jump to fifth with two games to play. Naas 1 now find themselves in seventh and have a game in hand over Phoenix 5 and Greystones 2 in fifth and sixth. Any team that can put a run together in their remaining games will climb up the table in a very open league.
DIVISION 13
Malahide 5 are top of Division 13 with 12 of their 14 league games completed. Two wins from their remaining games would guarantee them the title, but one win may be enough depending on other results. Halverstown 1 sit in second place and would likely need Malahide 5 to lose both games for them to finish top. Tyrrelstown 3 sit in third with a game in hand over both teams, but would also need Malahide 5 to slip up. Clondalkin 2 currently sit eighth with a game in hand over seventh-place Ongar 1, with a win seeing them leapfrog Ongar 1. North Kildare 5 are in sixth place but have four league games to play. Two wins from their last four games would guarantee that they will finish above the bottom two.
DIVISION 14
In their first season in Open Competitions, County Cavan 1 are confirmed as champions of Division 14 with two games still to play, having already guaranteed that they would finish in the top two before this weekend, their big win over North County has seen them securing the league title. Leinster 5 sit in second place and close their season with home games vs North County 5 and Merrion 6, respectively. At the other end of the table, North County 5 are in eighth place without a win so far and would need a lot to go their way to escape the bottom two. Slieve Bloom 1 are in a similar position and would need Carlow 2 to have a poor end to their campaign to jump above them.
DIVISION 15
Laois 3 are in a good position at the top of Division 15, they will still most likely need two wins from their four remaining games to secure the title. Tyrrelstown 4 are their primary challengers, and the two teams meet on the 14th of September. A win from Laois 3 would secure the title with a game to spare, depending on other results. Greystones 3 are at the bottom with two games to play and will struggle to force their way up the table. Civil Service 5 are in seventh with a game in hand over the majority of the table, and a win in this game could see them jump up to second depending on bonus points. Clontarf 5 sit in fourth for the time being but only have one game to play, which is a tricky trip to Stradbally and, at this stage look the most probable team to join Greystones 3 in the bottom two.
