Six of current Ireland squad in latest Lightning squad

The Leinster Lightning start a very busy month of June away to the Northern Knights this weekend with John Anderson’s men in action at Belmont on Sunday in the Hanley Energy Inter-Provincial 50-over cup.

Jack Tector comes back into the team after a string of good scores at club and representative level. YMCA’s captain will partner Ed Joyce at the top of the order. Gareth Delany, the Leinster all-rounder also retains his place in the squad having made his provincial debut last week against the North-West Warriors in the T20 series.

 

The squad for the 50-Over Cup match on 4th June:

First ball in Belmont is 10:45am and entry is free.

 

Starting Monday 5th June, the Lightning will be in action at Stormont, again taking on the Knights in what will be Leinster’s maiden First Class match.

George Dockrell misses out on this historic occasion as he will be busy with exams. Merrion’s fast bowling teenager, Max Neville joins the squad and there is also a return from injury for Tyrone Kane.
