RSA OCD3/OCD4: Averages

Division 3 Has only Gareth Delany of Leinster 2 already passed the number of runs required to qualify for the Bookman Cup.  However Mark Collier of Clontarf 2 is only 1 bug hit short of joining him.  Once you go below him, the batsmen shown have all between 150 and 200 to get to join them. However, as I mentioned earlier, there are a number of matches still to be played in this Division. Once we move to look at those pursing the Oulton Cup, like the the earlier divisions, things get more difficult.  No one has yet gone above 24 wickets, and indeed only 3 have exceeded 20 to date.  The list of those seeking to take most catches in the field is again here a tight one. In the chase for the Carmel Cullen cup for wicket keepers, the lead is shared between Jack Kerrison (Leinster 2) adn Robert Forrest (Clontarf 2). The Webster Cup sees Mark Collier (perhaps not surprising given that he appears in all other categories except wicket keeping) and his team mate Asim Nazir in the top 2 placing's with Gareth Delany 3rd.

Division 4 does not have any awards as such. However, for those in contention to end the season in top position there is still much to play for.  For the batsmen no one has reached 350 runs. Looking at the number of matches played by teams whose first Teams play in this division as opposed to clubs whose team partaking is a second or even a 3rd team, the latter may spread their playing among more than one team and reduce their chances at this level.  Jeffrey Dudgeon on Phoenix has both most runs adn highest average. Matt Lumson is far and away the highest wicket taker although his averages is only a whisker below that of Kamal Merchant. The catches taken have been spread around a lot here so there are only 4 who have taken 5 or more, with Adam Chester of Phoenix 2 on top, but, as usual in this category, only by the minimum margin. Amongst the wicket keepers there is no margin with both Sojin Kurian (Dundrum) and Charlie Kavanagh (Pembroke 3) level on 17. The all rounders category is again very tight with only Mark Collier’s one big hit I mentioned earlier keeping Harry Tector (YMCA 3) ahead of Ali Haider (Mullingar).
