Pundits Corner

A challenge has been put down and taken up by a few courageous writers on club cricket in Leinster to determine who is the best at forecasting results. So on Saturdays, for the remainder of the season, we will carry predictions for the weekend matches in the RSA OC Division 1 and Division 2 leagues. We will also include a table with the score.

Given the strange symmetry in D1 this weekend where matches break down according to the current league positions as follows 1v8, 2v7, 3v6, 4v5, it is perhaps not surprising that there is a certain uniformity across the forecasts. Nonetheless pundits are divided 2/2 on the result of the Railway v The Hills game. The only outlier is Ger Siggins who predicts a Leinster win against Merrion.
