PREMIER LEAGUE & CHAMPIONSHIP INDIVIDUAL AWARDS - CONFIRMED!

Cricket Leinster can now confirm the individual award trophy winners following the completion of the 2024 IBI Corporate Finance Premier League and Championship season.

All the awards (both individual and team) will be presented at the CL Awards Night & Gala Dinner on Friday, 24th January, in the Round Room at the Mansion House.

You can still buy tickets for the event at the following link; https://buytickets.at/cricketleinster/1303948

Marchant Cup (Batting in Premier League)

David Delany (Clontarf) has won the premier batting award, having also picked up the trophy in 2022. He holds the O’Grady Cup and the Samuels Cup, but both trophies will go to new winners this year. Delany finished clear of Swapnil Modgill of Merrion, with Tim Tector and Monil Patel also passing 400 runs.

David Delany secures the Marchant Cup for the second time in three seasons

Bruton Cup (Batting in Championship)

Suliman Safi of North County is the winner of the Bruton Cup for 2024 after an excellent debut season, which saw him amass more than 500 runs in Senior Cricket. His North County team-mate John Devane was second on the list, whilst Railway's Hedayat Ullah Khogiani also had a strong season.

Suliman Safi had a fine debut season leading him to the Bruton Cup

O’Grady Cup (Bowling in Premier League)

Byron McDonough (Pembroke) wins the O’Grady Cup after an excellent first season for Pembroke taking 28 wickets in just ten games at a miserly average of 9.11. His Pembroke team-mate Gavin Hoey was second in terms of both wickets and average, with the top three rounded out by Saqib Bahadur.

Byron McDonough takes home the O'Grady Cup for 2024

Dick Clarke Cup (Bowling in the Championship)

A familiar face wins the Dick Clarke Cup, with Eddie Richardson of North County picking up the honour for the 2024 season; he took 32 wickets at an average of 13.69. He was clear of a pair of spinners in North Kildare's Bakhtyar Nabi, and his North County teammate Alan Joseph Mathew.

Eddie Richardson wins the Dick Clarke Cup again in 2024

Hopkins Cup (Wicket-Keeping in the Premier League)

Greg Hollins of Pembroke wins the Premiership wicket-keeping trophy, finishing the season on 17 dismissals in the seven matches he played. He adds the Hopkins Cup to the Bookman Cup which he's already won for the 2nd XI Premier League campaign.

Greg Hollins claims the Hopkins Cup for league-winning Pembroke

Satchwell Cup (Wicket-Keeping in the Championship)

Luke Whelan of North County retains the Satchwell Cup for 2024 after another good season, finishing on 23 dismissals, nine more than he needed for the victory in 2023. Finn McGee finishes a dismissal behind in what has been another strong season behind the stumps for the Fingal man. Whilst Séamus Lynch also passed the 20 dismissal mark, the first time that three keepers have achieved this in the same season since this trophy was first awarded.

Luke Whelan earns his third Satchwell Cup in 2024

Samuels Cup (Premier League All-Rounder)

A new name furnishes the Samuels Cup this year as Swapnil Modgill (Merrion) takes home the accolade. His 501 runs and 14 wickets see him finish with 781 points and 27 clear of Jeremy Martins (Malahide) in second place. With the top three rounded out by Phoenix's Amish Sidhu.

Swapnil Modgill rounds off a strong season by winning the Samuels Cup

Robert Ellis Cup (Championship All-Rounder)

Eddie Richardson retains his crown for the 2024 season after another excellent year in which he matched his 32 wickets in 2023 and bettered his runs tally by 35 to close on 412 runs and end up with 1052 points; his closest challenger was Bakhtyar Nabi of North Kildare, who had a commendable season, taking 30 wickets and scoring 293 runs. Whilst Alan Joseph Mathew once again gets a mention here, however neither he nor Nabi could lay a glove on another excellent season for Richardson.

It's another double for Eddie Richardson who also claims the Robert Ellis Cup

Solomons Cup (Premier League Fielding)

Tim Tector (Pembroke) takes home the trophy this year, having finished second last season. He took 12 catches and pipped Monil Patel (Leinster) to the cup, who took 11 catches in his thirteen matches.

Tim Tector claims the Solomons Cup for 2024

Vincent Cup (Championship Fielding)

Suliman Safi of North County wins the Vincent Cup, taking 16 catches overall; he finishes seven clear of Donal Lynch (Terenure), who was last year's winner.
