This evening saw the Phoenix U11 boys becoming the second Phoenix side to claim silverware this season in a comprehensive 8 wicket win over Adamstown at Airlie Park.

Adamstown won the toss and elected to bat first, they were however under siege in the first 6 overs only able to make 21 runs while weathering fiery spells from Arsalan Farooq and Ryan Agarwal. Adamstown were able to fight back however through Aarav Chimakurthy and Arnav Godara who both made 24 and with the help of the tail and some extras they dragged their team up to 117 from their 20 overs.

Phoenix’s chase got going in much stronger fashion than their opponents, they did lose the wicket of Arsalan Farooq early on for 3 but they were able to bounce back with immediate effect through the skipper Muhammad Ibrahim and Ryan Agarwal, the former with 40 and the latter with 19 as they moved their team to 91 after 10 overs. From there it was a stroll for Phoenix, Ryan Agarwal finished things off, leading his side home with 8 overs and 8 wickets in hand.

Cricket Leinster would like to thank Gresham House for their support of youth cricket in Leinster for 2025 and Adamstown Cricket Club for hosting tonight’s final.
