Open Competitions : Cup Update

Despite unhelpful weather the Open Cup competitions in Leinster continue to progress. A short summary of where matters send is set out below.

 

Open Competition [OD Cups]

The Senior Cup Final is scheduled for the 30th July in Castle Avenue. It will be contested by YMCA and Leinster.

The Senior II Cup Final is scheduled for North Kildare on 31st July. Clontarf II are already in the final and will pay either North County II or Laois [who play SF on 24th July]

In the Middle Cup Final [Rush CC on Monday 1st Aug] Merrion III are waiting to see whether their opponent will be Pembroke III or Knockharley [who have SF on 24th, July].

The Middle II Cup Final is scheduled for Balbriggan [6th aug] between Castleknock and Balbriggan II.

The scheduled SF date for the Intermediate Cup is 23rd July and the semi-finalists are Slieve Bloom v Railway Union IV and Greystones II v Castleknock II.

The Junior Cup is also at SF stage but we first have to determine the outcome [with OCC] of the Lucan v Clontarf V QF. The semi-finalists are Clondalkin and Ringcommons who take on Cabinteely [31st July. The final is set for 14th August in Civil Service CC. 

The Minor Cup i sales at SF stage [6th August] but first the outstanding QF between Balbriggan III and Ashbourne which is due to be played on 30th July. The winner is away to Bagenalstown II. The other SF is between Adamstown IV and North Kildare III. 

The last competition has all four semi-finalists set up - North Kildare IV v AIB and Clontarf VI v Tyrellstown. Final Greystones 21srt Aug. 

 

Open Competitions T20

The Alan Murray T20 Final has already taken place - Leinster defeated Merrion.

Tillain Cup - pressure to complete SFs between Leinster II and Clontarf II v The Hills II v Pembroke II.before the scheduled final on Saturday 23rd July in Terenure.

YMCA Salver -  Rush II  due to play either Knockharley or Merrion IV [final also in Terenure on 23rd]

Whelan Cup - final 24th July in Railway Union between Merrion VI and Ringcommons

Russell Court - Ashbourne v AIB [also in Railway Union on 24th July]
