  3. Mid Season Report: RSA OCD13
2nd July 2014 by Eddie Lewis

Mid Season Report: RSA OCD13

Division 13 is one of those leagues where no team has established a clear ascendency. Knockharley III have opened up [as of 23rd June] a small lead having won five matches out of eight [with one NR]. At 68% they have the lowest percentage points of any leading team across the Open Competitions. Laois are second on 54% with four other teams within ten percentage points. So at this point it is fair to say that the league is wide open.

Just as the competition for league honours is wide open, similarly no team is yet safe from relegatin. Rush IV with only 13% [including some deducted points] is rooted to the bottom. But Adamstown IV, Dundalk II, and Sandyford III are all within 10 percentage points of each other seeking to avoid the second relegatino spot.

It is a nine team league and 29 matches have been [officially] played. 193 players have taken part so far, 44 of them youth players.

Four players have a runs aggregate of greater than 150 and are included in the averages. But the only player to score a century, Irfan Haidry [112] from Rush, has only played one match and does not qualify.

In the bowling the best individual performance is from Barik Sanjeeb who took 6/18 for Adamstown IV against Laois III. Two other players took five wickets in an innings – Kamal Jit Singh [5/34] for Castleknock and Santhosh Kumar [5/19] for Dundrum.

Since the league tables were last updated the competition at the top of the table has got even tighter with leaders Knockharley losing heavily to Dundrum III. Second place Laois also recorded a victory. So really all to play for in D13.
