The new RSA [Live Scores] Match Centre is being rolled out today and will feature the RSA Senior Cup Final in YMCA. The match centre can be accessed through the Cricket Leinster website [www.cricketleinster.ie]
For those with smart mobile phones there is a special customised link that can be used by entering cricketleisnter.ie/live into your internet browser. This can then be bookmarked so that you can access the Match Centre directly from your home screen in the future. For those using a mobile connection it is possible to get a list of all fixtures [open, women and youth] scheduled for the current day, to mark certain matches that you want to follow and to get updates on live scores where these are being provided by anyone attending the match.
Apart from the cup final there are 23 other Open Competitions matches, one Womens match and nine Youth matches. So we would like as many updates as possible. Anyone can update the score, provide the result or make a comment on a match by sending a tweet to the Match Centre. To do this you must use ‘#cricketleinster’. Please note that @cricketleinster won’t work.
From next week we will be sending out to clubs special links that will enable selected members to updates scores and results directly without having to go through twitter.
The Match Centre is an important initiative taken by the LCU and sponsored by RSA which we hope will further raise the profile of cricket in Leinster and provide an enjoyable and useful service for followers of local cricket.
