Thanks to the generous support of the recently awarded Cricket Leinster Inclusion Fund grant in memory of Paul Reynolds, Pembroke Cricket Club has made significant strides in expanding opportunities for women and youth in cricket. This grant has had a hugely positive impact by allowing the club to invest in new training equipment and helping us to deliver higher-quality and better equipped training sessions.
Earlier this season, we hosted ‘Stumps, Sizzle and Spritz’, an exciting recruitment event aimed at expanding our women’s section. Although the event took place prior to receiving the grant, it served as a clear reflection of our commitment to growing the women’s game. The momentum from that initiative has continued, with both our social and competitive women’s teams growing in numbers. The new equipment we have invested in has helped us to deliver more engaging and effective training sessions.

The impact has been immediate. Our women’s and youth sessions are now more dynamic and better suited to accommodate our growing participation. Beyond meeting practical needs, the grant has reinforced our commitment to inclusion, particularly in advancing women’s cricket.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Cricket Leinster and the Paul Reynolds Inclusion Fund for their invaluable support. We are excited to build on this progress as we look ahead to the 2026 season.
