The second of our status updates on the Open Competitions sees a look at Divisions 9 through 13, and here we find a couple of league titles which could well have their destination confirmed this weekend, with County Cavan and Adamstown both looking to wrap up their respective titles!

Division 9
This division sees the league title all but wrapped up with Tyrrelstown 2 sitting way clear atop the tree on 217.5 points. The battle for the second promotion spot is an interesting one however, Castleknock 2 currently occupy the position on 164.5 points, The Hills 3 are hot on their heels on 158.5 points. Adamstown 3 and Malahide 4 are slightly further back on 141.5 runs but are by no means out of the race.
This has been a league table of 2 halves or rather a 6 and a 2 with the 2 teams at the bottom of the table way adrift. Laois 2 are bottom on 79 points, they for all money will be playing in Division 10 next year. Sandyford are 7th they are on 109 points it is possible they could catch Bagenalstown on 138.5 points but they will need a big slice of luck to do so.

Division 10
This table has 3 teams in contention for 2 promotion spots, Dublin University 2 are currently top on 221 points having won 5 of their 7 games at the start of the season. Balbriggan 3 however are only .5 of a point behind in second and have a lot of cricket left to play, they should leapfrog Trinty before the end of the season. In 3rd are Finglas 1 on 213 points, they have 2 games left to play this season and will feel confident of taking one of the promotion spots if not the title.
At the other end of the table Mullingar are currently last on 47.5 points, they do however possess games in hand on those above them and are only 22.5 points from safety at this point. Dundalk are the side who currently own the spot above the drop on 70 points and will be keen to pull away from the drop zone in their last few weeks.

Division 11
Division 11 is all but sewn up at the top of the table with Adamstown 4 on 236 points after only 11 games essentially guaranteed the title. Swords 2 are in second on 202 points, they do however only have 1 game left to play and will be keeping an eye on Wicklow County 1 who sit a considerable distance behind on 136 points albeit with 5 games remaining.
Things are tight at the foot of the table Rush 3 currently occupy the foot of the table on 61 points, they are however barely 15 points from safety where Greystone currently sit on 76.5 points. Pheonix 5 are in 7th place but still have 6 games left to play will feel confident of hauling themselves to safety. Terenure 3 are in relative safety on 94 points in 5th but will remain vigilant to not get dragged into the battle at the base.

Division 12
This is another league table that is essentially sewn up at the top, County Cavan 1 are currently top in a near unassailable position on 234 points with 2 games left to play. Clontarf 4 occupy the second promotion spot with 3 games left to play, they sit 24.5 points above 3rd placed Tyrrelstown 3 they have however played a game more and will be looking to keep up the pace and ensure their placed in Division 11 for 2026.
Merrion 5 look set for the drop, they are currently 35 points adrift at the base of the table with only 3 games to play. The second relegation spot looks far less certain, Halverstown 1 currently occupy it but are only 4.5 points from the relative safety of 6th placed North Kildare 4 and 22 point from Malahide 5 in 5th.

Division 13
In possibly the tightest league we have reviewed so far only 35.5 points separates 1st placed Leinster 5 from 5th placed Ashbourne 5. Ongar 1 sit in second only 4.5 points from the top spot while Adamstown 5 are right in the battle for promotion too only 17 points behind Ongar.
The base of the table is just as tight between the bottom 2 with only 3.5 points separating last placed North Kildare 5 and 7th placed Wexford Wanderers 2. Longford 2 are in relative safety in 6th on 123.5 points but should their games in hand not got their way it’s well within the realm of possibility that they will get dragged into this battle.
