It was a day to remember in Terenure this afternoon for Clontarf, as they claimed the SportsHub Minor Cup for the 2025 season thanks to a brilliant 5-wicket win in today's final.

The Castle Avenue outfit bowled first having won the toss, and they were indebted to good spells by Hannah Lee who took 2/14 from her three overs, as well as 1/13 apiece for both Sophie O'Toole and the skipper Justine Blake, in restricting Phoenix to 99/6 in their 20 overs. Olivia Fox-Gill was the top scorer for Phoenix, as she made an unbeaten 41, batting all the way through the innings.

Clontarf’s chase got off to a solid start, as Blake and Ava O'Donnell took the score along to 49 before an excellent spell of bowling between Alanna Staunton and Lily McDonagh saw four wickets fall for just 12 runs, reducing the chase to 61/5. Blake however remained unbeaten making an excellent 55 to secure the chase, with five wickets in hand in the 18th over.

An excellent achievement for Clontarf, congratulations to all involved with the side, and once again Cricket Leinster would like to thank SportsHub for their support of Women's Competitions in Leinster this season, it is hugely appreciated.
