Youth league averages: Open Competitions D1 - D6

D1

45 players under the age of 19 competed in 269 OCD1 matches. They contributed 2519 runs, making 8 fifties along the way. 24 bowlers sent down 777 overs and took 130 wickets. The highest score was 89* by Colin Currie [Clontarf] and  the best individual bowling performance was 7/29 by Jack Balbirnie [Pembroke]. 

D2

53 U19 players competed in 292 OCD2 matches. They contributed 3216 runs, including 14 fifties and one century. 34 bowlers sent down 812 overs and took 125 wickets. The highest score was 108* by Fiachra Tucker [Pembroke] and the best individual bowling performance was 7/47 by David Poff [Pembroke]. 

D3

62 U19 players competed in 372 OCD3 matches. They contributed 4621 runs, including 21 fifties and a century. 39 bowlers sent down 1193 overs and took 226 wickets. The highest score was 120 by Harry Tector [YMCA] the best individual bowling performance was 5/38 by Joe Prendergast [Pembroke]. 

63 U19 players competed in 343 OCD4 matches. They contributed 4294 runs, including 19 fifties and 5 centuries. 37 bowlers sent down 1094 overs and took 220 wickets. The highest score was 131 by David Delany [Clontarf] and the best individual bowling performance was 5/21 by Ross Staunton [N County]. 

D5

72 U19 players competed in 292 OCD5 matches. They contributed 3914 runs, including 19 fifties and 2 centuries. 45 bowlers sent down 1068 overs and took 199 wickets. The highest score was 104 by Fionn Hand [N County] the best individual bowling performance was 6/16 by Nasir Hotac [Leinster]. 

D6

Interesting only 38 youth players in this league and took part in 160 OCD6 matches. They contributed 1645 runs, with two hendreds and only four fifties. 27 bowlers sent down 529 overs and took 116 wickets. The initial report has been corrected to include Patrick Monks [Rush] who was inadvertently left out. He had the best individual performance [105*], being higher than Harry Shivmangal [Knockharley] who had perviously been so credited, and the best individual bowling performance was 6/41 by Umar Sharif [Longford].
