In reply Merrion opened with Hannah McKay and Rachel Delaney. The girls saw it home in 10 overs Delaney finishing on 36* and McKay on 23*. North Kildare bowling 22 wides not helping their chances of defending their total. Merrion won by 10 wickets

Tuesday, 17th June

D2 - Merrion 2 V Malahide 2 - No scorecard entered yet

D3 - Rush 2 V Pembroke 2 - Refix

Wednesday, 18th June

D1 - Malahide 1 V YMCA 1 - The Village

With Mary Waldron back in their team, Malahide felt confident they could take on this young YM side. Mary and Eimear Gill opening the batting and then Robyn Lewis bowling them both, Mary for 13 and Eimear for 2. Marianne (hard to get out) Herbert having the season of her life with the bat came in next and totted up a quick 42 not out. She was supported by S O' Carolan-Murphy and C McCann who both got into double figures and finished on 19 and 14 respectively. YM used 4 bowlers in their attack but could not remove all MCC players.

In response YM opened with Robyn Lewis and Rachel Lambe, Robyn going early on to Eimear Gill and Rachel going on to make 48. Richardson took the wicket of Rachel and went on to take Gaby Lewis for 29 and Jenny Gray for 0, ending with figures of 3 for 23 off 3.5. Lucy O’Reilly saw it out with Sharon Smyth. Lucy finishing on 26 not out and YM winning by 6 wickets.

Thursday, 19th June

D1 - The Hills 1 V Pembroke 1 - The Vineyard

On a gorgeous evening out in Milverton Pembroke won the toss and put The Hills into bat. Laura Boylan stepping in as captain for this game, played a captain's innings and went on to make 67 before being bowled by Barbara Musgrave. Katie Boylan was the only other Hills player to get into double figures with 18 before she was run out by a Steph Barman/Meg Kendal combination. Pembroke fell behind the allotted time for their overs, so this meant they had 18 overs to chase 118 posted by The Hills.

Pembroke’s Meg Kendal went first ball to an in swinging ball from Laura Boylan. This made way for in form Louise McCarthy along side Shauna Kavanagh. Shauna was removed cheaply by L Hoey and caught T Clinton. Ciara Metcalfe made a fly by appearance chipping in with only 1 run. Louise scored quickly and played some great shots, using all her experience and drive seeing Pembroke home and finished on 72 not out. She was supported by returning Cathy (Lugga) Murphy and the pair made a great partnership of 85 runs. Pembroke won by 7 wickets of their 18 overs.

D1 - Malahide 1 v YMCA 1 - The Village

This being the 2nd time these two teams had met within a week. YM losing Clare Shillington after she split her webbing/hand in the Wednesday night game. YMCA won the toss and put Malahide into bat. Mary Waldron and Marianne Herbert opening the batting. Mary wanting runs after her early exit in Wednesday's game went on to make 74 not out. And for the first time this season, Marianne Herbert was out… shocked I know! Marianne was run out by Jenny gray and Gaby Lewis for 13. The next 3 batters did not make it into double figures but unfortunately the wides did. Malahide finishing up on 135 for 4.

The YMCA innings would be only 19 overs due to slow over rate. The same opening combination as Wednesday took to the crease, not coming off this time though. Robyn going for 2 and Rachel for 10. YMCA’s next 3 batters all made it into the 30’s - Gaby Lewis 31,  Lucy O’Reilly 31 and Jenny Gray 32. Malahide used 6 bowlers in their attack and even wicket keeper Mary Waldron bowled 1 over and restricted YM in reaching their target. Malahide won by a very close 3 runs.

D1 - North Kildare 1 V Clontarf 1 - No scorecard entered yet

D1 - Leinster 1  V Merrion 1 - Observatory Lane - No scorecard entered yet
