Weekly Round-Up : RSA D3 - D14 Eighth Weekend

Between the weather and the number of cup matches there is not much change in the leagues from last weekend. Balbriggan continue to lead D3 but with only a few matches played. Laois have surged to top place in D4 with four wins out of five. A feat that is beign closely followed by Laois II and Laois III who both have four out of six wins to maintain a strong challenge in D5 and D11 respectively.

YMCA III now have a clear lead in D6 having secured an important win over Merrion IV. Divisions 8, 9 and 10 are unchanged with Merrion V, Clontarf IV and Mullingar II all leading with three wins out of three. Sandyford II are top in D10 [with few matches completed] and Railway U IV look to be running away with D11 [five wins and a NR out of six]. Greystones, Ring Commons and Clontarf VII stay top in D12 - D14.

The outstanding batting performances of the weekend were Kenny Carroll's 155* for Railway IIs against Pembroke III in D4 and R Meray's 134 in Laois's massive total of 352 against Malahide II in the same league. In the latter match M O'Brien led a spirited response with 95*.

The top bowling performance of the weekend was Asran Khan's 6/21 in 8.3 overs for Dublin University II to bowl out Dundalk for 116 in a win in D9. M Hogan helped secure a win for Terenure II in taking 6/26 against Clonee in D6. Mention shoud also be amde of another young bowler, H Balbiernie who got 5/9 to dismiss Civil Service for 81 against Pembroke III in D3.
