Division 1 - Malahide v North Kildare
A low scoring affair, Malahide batted first setting North Kildare 107 to win. Extras top scored with some good lower order running by the Malahide youngsters, Sarah brophy and Sarah Condron. Lara maritz took the early wickets of Melissa and Lucy during a wonderful opening spell. It was an exciting chase for NK thanks to Jenny Lowrys aggressive 30. Some excellent death bowling and cool heads in the field saw NK all out for 85 in the 18th over!
Division 3 - Leinster 3 v Greystones 1
Greystones chose to bat first and had leinster on the back foot for the first 8 overs. . They had strong hitters who were taking advantage of any short ball with many 4s and even a 6. However Leinster's bowling raised it's game with the formidable five overs from Ava Canning 4-20, (a great achievement for her first ladies match) and a wicket each for Jenny Sparrow, Lara MacMahon and Stephanie Woods. Alison Oldam and Jenny Sparrow then chased down the sizable target set by greystones of 141 confidently. It was a great batting performance with Alison getting her first 50 of the season.
