Cricket Leinster and the OCC have been monitoring Government advice in relation to the Covid restrictions for the Counties of Kildare, Laois and Offaly, the link to which is here: https://www.gov.ie/en/publication/7b237-special-advice-for-those-living-in-kildare-laois-and-offaly-friday-7-august-2020/
With this in mind, it has been agreed that matches scheduled for the weekend of 22nd and 23rd August should now be included in the postponed matches list. The arrangements for these matches appear below. However, the cut-off for confirming these matches will be 9pm on Sunday 23rd August.
In the spirit of trying to facilitate as much as cricket as possible in this truncated season, the OCC has agreed the following arrangements.
Any matches scheduled to be played in any of the three affected Counties, or involving clubs from the three affected Counties, may be replayed but strictly on the following basis:
The above relates to matches scheduled to have been played over the weekends of 8th/9th, 15th/16th and 22nd/23rd August, and the OCC will revisit same if there are any changes in Government guidance on local lockdown arrangements.
For the avoidance of doubt, it will be for the two teams to agree to a new date/venue/time for a match, which can be midweek, and if no such agreement is reached by 9pm on Sunday 16th August (or 23rd August for matches scheduled for 22nd/23rd August), then the match will be cancelled and the points shared.
