U13 Girls Trial Match 1: South win by 3 wickets

Yesterday saw the first of two Trial matches for the U'13 Girls age group. These matches are the culmination of the Leinster youth winter programme for the girls. They assist the coaches in selecting three squads for the summer activities. The A squad will go to the Malvern Festival, the B squad will play an U15s North Wales side in Hollyhead and the C squad will play a home match in Pembroke CC against an U13 NCU team. Selection of the teams will be out on Thursday 13^th July for all parents and then it will be published here for clubs and interested parties when all the players are confirmed.

Thanks go to the Cricket Leinster Coaches that helped out yesterday with umpiring, coaching and scoring – Diarmuid Lynch, Vanessa Kelada and Naomi Scott-Hayward. A huge thank you to Rush CC who hosted the match and Pembroke CC for hosting the training for the teams earlier in the week. Also thanks to Matt Sheridan, from Rush, who provided refreshments for the parents spectating and ensured the grounds were all set up for us.
