A 'Tallaght Schools' team will enter the Leinster Secondary School Boys competition in 2013.
The team will play in the Senior Boys Alf O'Connell League and will play their home matches at Corkagh Park off the Naas Road which is the home ground of Adamstown CC. They have been put into the same group as Blackrock College, Castleknock College, Belvedere B and also Colaiste Pobail Setanta from Phibblestown.
The winners of this group will then enter the knock out stages. The matches are all 20/20 format which is becoming increasingly popular around the world. The team will be coached by LCU / SDCC Development Officer Kenny Carroll and he is currently putting together a panel of players.
There will also be some training sessions for the panel in preparation for the season and these will take place at Corkagh Park as well.
Kenny would like to hear from interested schoolboys who would like to put their name forward for the panel. There are also opportunities to get involved in the team in a sponsorship, management, umpiring and scoring capacity.
