Squad Announcement for Hanley Energy IP50 Match on 1/7/2018

After a washout and No Result in Eglinton, Leinster Lightning resume their IP50 campaign away to the Northern Knights on Sunday July 1st. The match is in Stormont and starts at 10.45 a.m.

Leinster Lightning currently top the table on Net Run Rate and will be looking to cement their position as they seek to retain the Interprovincial Cup. The Northern Knights will be looking to get their first win of the campaign and to use home advantage to avenge the defeat in The Hills on the June Bank Holiday weekend.

The Leinster Lightning selectors have the pleasure in announcing the following squad:

George Dockrell, Gareth Delany (both Leinster); Peter Chase (Malahide), John Anderson, Tyrone Kane (both Merrion); Lorcan Tucker, Andrew Balbirnie (both Pembroke); Simi Singh, (YMCA); Kevin O’Brien (Railway Union), Eddie Richardson (North County), Stephen Doheny (Rush), Max Sorenson (The Hills)

Sean Terry was not considered for selection as he is out of the country in relation to a personal matter.

Philip Smith, Cricket Leinster General Manager, wished the squad well for these matches saying “This is the return fixture of our highly successful Bank Holiday Monday match. With the assistance of Cairn Homes PLC this match was Live Streamed and was viewed by nearly 12,000 people in 79 countries around the world. The support of Cairn Homes PLC is highly appreciated as we look to continue our strong track record in all interprovincial competitions. We are delighted to be announce that all six matches in the Interprovincial Festival on July 6th, 7th & 8th will also be live streamed.”
