Cricket Leinster is delighted to today confirm the Women’s League Structures for the 2026 season, with the Cup Draws set to follow shortly.
We are delighted that SportsHub will continue to sponsor all Women’s Cricket in Leinster as part of their multi-year agreement signed in 2025 – their continued support is hugely appreciated.
As with last season, and confirmed previously, the Women’s Premier League will retain 9 teams for the 2026 season.

In the SportsHub Division 2, Railway Union’s league victory in 2025 has seen them promoted into this league, taking the place of The Hills 2, who drop to Division 3. This means there are now three 1st XIs in Division 2, as Railway now join Terenure and North Kildare, whilst holders Merrion 2 will look to retain their title from last year.
The SportsHub Division 3 is made up of 9 teams for the 2026 season, with Merrion 3 making the jump from Division 4 alongside Balbriggan 2, who were the Division 4 Cup winners last season.

Each of the top three leagues will see teams face each other twice, on a home and away basis, as per a conventional league campaign.
The SportsHub Division 4 will (for the first time) be comprised of teams returning from the previous season. North Kildare 2, who finished third in 2025, are the highest ranked side from last term in a league which also featured four 1st XIs. In this league, due to there only being 6 teams, sides will face each other three times throughout the playing season.
Finally, we are delighted to announce the addition of a fifth Division for 2026. The SportsHub Division 5 will feature Laois 1, alongside new entries from each of Finglas, Tyrrelstown, Kilkenny and Carlow, alongside Phoenix who have entered a 3rd XI for this season. This Division will continue to focus primarily on participation and player development with teams set to face each other on a home and away basis.
