RSA OCD2 Averages : 28th June

Not much change at the top of the D2 Batting averages. Finton McAllister becomes the first player to pass 500 runs on 519.  Himself and Reinhardt Strydom (445) are proving a real powerhouse at the top of the Malahide order, getting plenty of runs quickly.  When we come to look at the wickets again here no one has yet reached 20.  The comments I made on batting and bowling under Division 1 apply equally to Division 2. Also the catches in the field competition is tight here though at present Glenn Russell is well in the lead amountst the wicket keepers. It is interesting to see that Balbriggan, in their second year in this league, supply the leaders under all categories other than bowling, though again their overseas player is responsible for two of these and will not be eligible to take the trophies should he remain on top.
