RSA OCD1 Averages : 28th June

Division 1 sees the minimum runs required increased to 350.  Brett Thompson, Merrion's overseas player, moves to the top for the first time. Three players are over 400 with Andrew Poynter being the highest aggregate scorer on 431.  On the bowling front Jono Cook is the new leader. No one has quite reached 20 yet, with Fiachra Tucker the leading wicket taker on 19 and 3 others hot on his heels with 18. We are just over half way through the season in terms of league and cup.  Looks fairly certain we will have more than one batsman in excess of 600 runs but it may become difficult for many bowlers to pass 35 wickets. As usual catches in the field is producing a tight battle for the Solomons Cup and a shared trophy would be no surprise.  Likewise with the Hopkins Cup with only 3 dismissals at present covering the top 4. The All Roudners trophy is at present led by two who will not be eligible for it as Overseas Players but after them there is quite a battle, led by Andrew Poynter.
