Traditionally, the end of the year may be a time for looking back, but with the release of the fixtures for the 2013 RSA Division 2 season, the eight clubs involved will be doing nothing but looking forward.
Division 2 will offer the normal intriguing mix of teams, with the might of last year's Division 1 teams, Clontarf and Terenure wrestling with the newly promoted teams Merrion 2 and Balbriggan. Malahide, Rush and Dublin University will be determined to improve on 2012, whilst Leinster 2 will be looking to build on a promising first season in the second tier.
Cricket Leinster have made a concious decision to promote the sport in College Park, and as such Dublin Universoty have been facilitated by having their last three matches played earlier than other clubs. The round 5, 6 and 7 Dublin Universoty matchesmatches that have been moved can be seen below.
The Division 2 season will indeed start with one of those matches when Clontarf will host Dublin University on April 20th. The season proper will kick off the following week, with four fascinating games. Rush will host Terenure and Dublin Uinversity welcome Malahide to College Park.
The two most intrguing ties of the first week are Clontarf's second match of the season, with Balbriggan playing their first Division 2 match in Castle Avenue, and the clash of the second teams - Leinster 2 playing Merrion 2 .
