Dundrum got the season off to a great start with victories for their 1st and 2nd XIs against North County IIIs and Leinster Vs. Laoise also achieved a double win over the weekend for their 2nds and 3rds. Adamstown had the closest of wins against DU 2nds, squeezing home by one wicket while chasing 177, greatly helped by 34 extras.
The outstanding individual performance of the weekend was the maiden century of Merrion schoolboy Michael Kerr who scored 131 as Merrion 5ths chased down a sizeable Leinster 4th XI total of 214. Best bowling was the 5/34 from C Smith who helped Pembroke 6ths defend a total of 90 against Wexford Wanderers 2nd XI.
