RECORDS BROKEN AT INCH ON 20.7.2025

On Sunday last (20th July 2025),  Pembroke CC scored a massive 474/3 in the semi-final of the LHW Financial Planning Leinster Senior Cup against North County CC at Inch. It was a match that broke several records.

Pembroke CC can now claim the record for the highest single innings score in the modern era and the fourth highest overall. The top three, twice by Leinster CC and once by Railway Union CC, took place in a time before over limits and matches could extend for days. Since the start of Senior Cricket in 1919, over 400 runs in an innings have been scored on 24 occasions.

In terms of individual performances, Blake MacDonald’s 263* is the highest individual score in the history of Leinster Cricket. His was the ninth score of 200 or more and jumps to the top of the ranking. It breaks the record held by JB Ganly of 232 made for Leinster against Phoenix in 1929.

George Dockrell is the other man to make a Senior double-century this season

At 266, the partnership between MacDonald and Harry Tector is the ninth highest in Senior Cricket. However, it is not the highest for the 3rd wicket where Brad Spanner and Chris Torrisi made 280 against The Hills in 2001 and 269* against Pembroke in 2000.
