Quick Update on RCD1 / RCD2 Averages

John Anderson needs 32 more runs today for 1000 runs in a season.

Since the batting and bowling averages were last published, Eddie Richardson has found a place on the Batting leader board following his heroics of last weekend. In RCD2 Sean Stanton [Merrion] and Danny O'Shea [Malahide] have reached 20 wicket mark and are included. Simi Singh [who is injured] is the only player to qualify for the Marchant Cup [Batting D1]. There are a number of players, however, approaching the threshold but whether any can achieve a higher average remains to be seen. There are a number of players in contention for the O'Grady Cup [Bowling D1] so a really good set of figures over the next two weekends could make a difference. In D2 both the batting and the bowling appear to be sown up with John Anderson [Richard Bruton Cup] and Tom Stanton [Dick Clarke Cup] both from Merrion well out in front. The main interest today will be focussed on Anglesea Road to see if John Anderson can get the 32 runs needed to reach the 1000 senior runs in a season landmark.
