In the end the results went pretty much according to form. Seven of the eight Premier sides make it through to the Quarter Finals of the LHK Insurance [Alan Murray] T20 Competition. The exception was the young Munster side. Malahide and Balbriggan who both went into the final preliminary series needing only one win to at least have a chance of going through were unable to sustain their early momentum. Leinster made a remarkable recovery from a bad first day. With confirmation required from the Open Competitions Committee on the results, placings and NRR at the moment it seems that there is a clear outcome regarding the eight teams to go through [see table below], with YMCA, Clontarf and Merrion having home draws and Munster Heat playing away. Other than that, with the one remaining home draw at stake, we await the submission of official scorecards and the final placings.
